Team Relais, One Lap (15min.), Place: 3th.
An elite women, an elite men from U23, and a junior formed a team and were riding each of them a full lap of the course.
We formed the Cannondale by Windlin team and we finished 3rd. I was the start rider and managed to come first out and to send our next rider on the course.
After a break of almost 2 weeks now, this relais was a good warm up for the race tomorrow.

What a rainy foggy day! I didn't feel like leaving my hotel room for the race .
But as soon as the start gun took us out into the woods it was no problem to race hard again. After the first three of 7 laps I had a comfortable lead.
It was a very technical and muddy course. There was no easy rolling at all and we always had to "dig" hard all the time.
Unfortunatly with 2.5 laps to go I hit a rock with my pedals and had the flip of my life. I flew off the course and it took me a while until I realized what happend .
First I wanted to quit the race because I had big pain in my head, but at least the bike was ok.
So, as I already was so muddy and my home crowed was awsome I just didn't want to quit like this. With the time I came back into the race again and catched a couple of riders back again. Unfortunately not all of them to win, but at least to get a podium step.
