It was a cool trip to China, even it was short but very intense!
I won the race, and it looks like my lungs are smog prove.
At the first day I did not like the course that much, but with the time I felt comfortable. There are steep short uphills at the beginning, and after half time the climbs are longer and easier to ride.
I was really impressed with the organisation. They made this test race feel like the Olympics. People worked the whole night long, and they even brought transporters full of flowers to make everything look pretty around the start/finish!
We definitely made use of our time in Beijing, and we did not sit around in our hotel.
I experienced very different food, cool night live, or spa’s with the whole setup.
The Chinese people are super friendly, helpful and I had only great experience. Except they stick too much to the rules sometimes.
Unfortunately communication was difficult. For example most taxi drivers did not even understand “stop”… but we always made our way!
