2.09h (1min. down) Place: second

Like every year, I like to come back to beautiful Mont St. Anne. It is more or less a ski/outdoor resort located 30 min. from downtown Québec.
Last year the whole team was staying in a big house, and we do not change the good things. It was just waiting for us again to "break it in" ...especially the kitchen and bbq!

My recovery from the Austrian running race was, surprisingly, very good, and I could do good quality training right from Tuesday on.

The race course was super trials technical there. I like more speed technical courses than those crawling over roots and rocks.
This terrain split up the racing field pretty quickly. I lost contact with the winner, P. Merhaege, in a technical section where I got stuck behind other riders in lap two.
I pushed myself very hard to get back again and managed to chase the time down to 5 sec. Suddenly a big rain storm turned up, and Philip opened the lead up to 20 sec. again, which he maintained almost until the end.
