1.59h Place: first
I really felt it before the start that this would be my race.
The very technical downhills and long uphills here are just made for me.
Roel Paulissen and I put the hammer down straight after the start and broke away like last weekend. This team time trialling style gives you an unbeatable feeling out there!
I was faster in the downhill sections, but we always came together in the flat part again to work together. Towards the second last lap I made more and more time on Roel in the downhill and then I rode clear for the rest by myself.
This was my 5th world cup win, and the first one solo!
That the whole team rode so strongly today again, after three world cups in a row, shows how professionally our team works!
