105km, 4.5h, Place: first
My first real marathon race, and I had great respect for such a long race
The first big climb right after the start already separated the field into smaller groups. After the long downhill afterwards I was in the lead but it was too early to go by myself. I got caught by the two following Austrians pretty quick, and we rode together for more then the half of the race.
After a technical rocky section I broke away again and finished the race solo for the last 1.45h
This is my first victory of the season, and it looks like my shape always comes together after the Sea Otter Classic.
I mean it is time! The World Cup is coming around very soon!
